Privacy Friendly Apps gain new additions
SECUSO-Forschungsgruppe der TU Darmstadt stellt die neuen Privacy Friendly Apps "Lineal", "Maßband" und "Werwolf" bereit
The two new Privacy Friendly Apps "Lineal" and "Maßband" are enabling the measuring of objects with a Smartphone or Tablet. The Lineal-App shows a ruler, optional a protractor, at the edge of the device. Thus objects, that are smaller than the device, can be measured. While doing so the Lineal-App does not need any authorization. The Privacy Friendly Werwolf is an Android implementation of the "Werewolf" card game. Players, who are connected to the same WiFi, can play together without needing the role cards.
The Maßband-App makes it possible to measure objects in photos taken by the Smartphone camera, which are in the same plane as an object which size is known. For example one can take a picture of a 1 Euro coin to find out how big a pencil is. In the App the size of some currencies (among them Euro and US-Dollar) are saved as reference objects. Individual reference objects can be saved and administrated in the App, as well. To gain access to the pictures the Maßband-App only needs access to the memory, where the pictures are stored.
With the Privacy Friendly Werwolf one player has the role of moderator. They are using their Smartphone to invite players to choose the enacted role and to determine the length of the phases. The players can choose between the roles of "The Innocent Villagers", "The Deadly Werewolves", "The Magical Witch" or "The Mystic Seer". Within every game phase the players can choose different actions on their Smartphone according to their role
