Synamic Technologies receives funding for IT security project Patch Pilot
The subsidy program StartUpSecure of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) supports the product idea for automatized estimation and risk evaluation for vulnerabilities in IT.
Since April 1, 2020, the subsidy program StartUpSecure of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has been backing Synamic Technologies. The cybersecurity startup left an impression with their product idea Patch Pilot, serving the automatised estimation and risk evaluation in business IT departments. Especially for medium-sized businesses, reliable protection for IT departments is a challenging task. This is mainly due to the lack of specialists that detect and cancel out security breaches. Patch Pilot will provide these businesses with guiding steps to ensure the closure of security breaches. Through this, businesses will be able to raise their IT security levels on their own responsibility and respond faster to cyber-threats. Due to its application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Patch Pilot is capable of catering to various individual problems of different companies. Therefore, each in-house IT department can define its own specific guidelines to consider for risk evaluation and security breach detection.
The founding team, consisting of Dr. Sven Niedner and Dr. Daniel Döppner, operates behind the scenes of the Patch Pilot project. Together, they developed a cloud service waiting to be implemented into the IT departments of medium-sized and small businesses everywhere. However, for a successful market launch, more expertise is needed – in the form of a cooperation partner.
