Prof. Dr. Iryna Gurevych receives funding for the project "InterText - Modeling Text as a Living Object in Cross-Document Context". Over a period of five years, the research project will develop AI methods that enable the processing and analysis of texts and their relationships for contradictions, matches or comments. In an age of ubiquitous information overload, the new technology is designed to enable users to efficiently evaluate complex information on a given topic, for example, to identify fake news. At ATHENE, Iryna Gurevych is involved in the research areas Automatic Vulnerability Scanning and Verification (AVSV), Security and Privacy in Artificial Intelligence (SENPAI) and Secure Digital Transformation in Health Care (SeDiTraH).

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi receives funding for the project "Hardware-assisted Adaptive Cross-Layer Security for Computing Systems - HYDRANOS". Through a new radical approach, the project aims to realize sustainable security for computing systems. To this end, security-critical components in the hardware, specifically in the system-on-chip (SoC), become reconfigurable, while the other components remain static. Thus, security-relevant units can be adaptively adjusted directly in the hardware, especially against future attacks.At ATHENE, Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi is involved in the OPen and Sustainable IoT Security (OPSIS) and Trustworthy Data Ecosystems (TRUDATA) research areas.
