The initiative for the event originates from Jumas Medoff, the chairman of the local foreigners representative of the city Frankfurt am Main (KAV). The KAV gives away this acknowledgment to outstanding personalities with a migration background from the fields of science, economy and education since 2016. The aim is to highlight the successes of migrants in Hesse in particular in order to point out role models to the young generation especially.
