ATHENE and DFKI combine their research activities
ATHENE and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) have agreed on a comprehensive research collaboration. This strategic partnership aims to explore the critical intersection between cyber security and artificial intelligence with combined scientific expertise.
The collaboration will focus on securing AI methods, defending against AI-based attacks, and using AI to improve cybersecurity. The close collaboration will create Europe's largest pool of research expertise in AI security, practical experience in technology transfer, and consulting expertise for business, society and government.
In future, researchers from both institutions will work together in a coordinated manner on research and development projects at the interface between cybersecurity and AI, and will develop proposals for Germany's cybersecurity and AI strategies. Joint events and other science communication formats are also planned.
