As part of this collaboration, ATHENE is installing a high-performance AI cluster consisting of twelve nodes, each with eight high-end GPUs, which is designed to analyse large volumes of data using complex AI models. This advanced infrastructure enables researchers to analyse even highly sensitive data or simulate AI attacks without third parties gaining access to the information. The collaboration leverages the synergies between ATHENE's expertise in cybersecurity research and GSI's long-standing experience with the GSI/FAIR Digital Open Lab, a real-world laboratory for energy-efficient high-performance computing.
