USENIX Security 2018
CRISP-Scientists place a Paper at one of the Top Security-Conferences
The paper "Freezing the Web: A Study of ReDoS Vulnerabilities in JavaScript-based Web Servers" from Prof. Michel Pradel and Cristian-Alexandru Staicu, both CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt, was accepted at the USENIX Security Symposium. The paper deals with the reveal of ReDoS weak spots in JavaScript software-modules. These make it possible that a website can freeze with a single inquiry, so that other users would not be able to access the server the website is connected with.
The following papers from CRISP researchers have also been accepted at USENIX:
IMIX: In-Process Memory Isolation EXtension
Tommaso Frassetto, Patrick Jauernig, Christopher Liebchen, and Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi, Technische Universität Darmstadt
The Guard's Dilemma: Efficient Code-Reuse Attacks Against Intel SGX
Andrea Biondo and Mauro Conti, University of Padua; Lucas Davi, University of Duisburg-Essen; Tommaso Frassetto and Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi, Technische Universität Darmstadt
USENIX conference belongs to the top four important conferences in the field of security. Scientists, practitioners, system administrators and programmers from all over the world come together in order to interchange about the newest advantages in the fields of security and privacy of computer systems and networks.
USENIX 2018 takes place 15. - 17. August 2018 in Baltimore, USA.
