Today’s smartphones have become sources of private and confidential data. Users store all kinds of information on their smartphones, from friend’s phone numbers, personal photos to passwords and bank account numbers.

At the same time, phone manufacturers and app developers unnoticeably access user’s sensitive data like GPS location, contact information or browser habits. Actually, Android’s permission model should prevent the access to sensitive user data. However, permissions are excessively used by many apps and are not sufficient to prevent an app from stealing sensitive data.A good approach to find leaks of sensitive data are dynamic and static data flow analyses. However, most of the approaches are limited to single apps and do not consider the extensive Android Inter Process Communication (IPC) and Inter Component Communication (ICC) mechanisms.
