Strategic alliance: ATHENE and DFKI combine expertise in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence

ATHENE and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) signed a groundbreaking cooperation agreement, providing for close collaboration in research on cybersecurity of and through artificial intelligence methods. The collaboration will create Europe's largest pool of excellent research expertise at the intersection of these two key technologies, with plans for joint research and development projects and proposals for national strategies. Prof. Antonio Krüger, CEO of DFKI, emphasises the importance of this partnership for the realisation of trustworthy AI 'made in Germany', while Prof. Michael Waidner, CEO of ATHENE, describes the cooperation as an important step towards Germany's digital sovereignty and international research leadership.
