Award for Prof. Reiner Anderl
Election to the Pesidency of the Academy of Sciences and Literature|Mainz
On June, 30,2017,Prof. Dr. Reiner Anderl, CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt,was elected President from members of the academy for sciences and literature in Mainz. He hereby succeeds Prof. Dr. Gernot Wilhelm an July the first, who headed the academy for four years. Prof. Dr. Burkhard Hillebrands, Universität Kaiserslautern was elected Vice President and chairman of the mathematical- naturalscience class.
Reiner Anderl, born in 1955, studied General mechanical engineering at the Universität Karlsruhe (TH) and obtained his doctorate degree in 1984. Auf Following occupational activities in medium- sized mechanical Engineering he gained his habilitation in 1991 at the Universität Karlsruhe. Since 1993 he is a University Professor for data processing in the construction (DiK) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the TU in Darmstadt. From 2005 until 2010 he was Vice President, before from 1999 until 2001 Dean and from 2001 until 2003 Vice Dean of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Next to his professorship Rainer Anderl holds several other functions. Since 2003 he his head of the PACE activities (Partners for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering Education) at the Technischen Universität Darmstadt. Since 2005 he is Adjunct Professor at Virginia Tech University (USA) and since 2006 guest Professor of UNIMEP, Piracicaba (Brasilien). 2006 Professor Reiner Anderl was elected full member of the academy of Sciences and Literature |Mainz . To his Areas of competence are next to the virtual product creation and computer based costruction , also the co-operative and divisional product development, information modeling, with the Focus on modeling of product data and knowledge based product development.
