Department "Mensch-Computer- Interaktion der Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V."
CRISP-Researcher confirmed as part of the executive committee of the GI-Department
In the expert group „Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion in sicherheitskritischen Systemen“ of the department "Mensch-Computer-Interaktion" of Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (Society of informatics) a new executive committee had to be elected. The current spokesman Prof. Christian Reuter, CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt, was reelected as well as his vice Prof. Tilo Mentler, Universität zu Lübeck. Prof. Stefan Geisler, Hochschule Ruhr West was replaced by Prof. Simon Nestler, Hochschule Hamm-Lippstadt. The terms of office of this new executive committee will last from 2018 to 2021.
One of the activities of this expert group is the organisation of the since 2014 annual workshop "Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion in sicherheitskritischen Systemen". This worksop is part of the „Mensch & Computer“, one of the biggest scientific conferences conserning human-computer-interaction in German-speaking countries. Countless Special Issues in international journals have been created following this conference.
In the beginning of 2018 the textbook „Sicherheitskritische Mensch-Computer-Interaktion: Interaktive Technologien und Soziale Medien im Krisen- und Sicherheitsmanagement“ (critical security human-computer-interaction: interactive technoligies and social media in crisis and security management) has been published. The textbook offers well-founded and practice-oriented introduction as well as an overview of foundations, methods and applications of human-computer-interation in context of security, emergencies, crises, catastrophies, war and piece.
