Mensch and Computer 2018
CRISP-Researchers provide 5 papers
Researchers from the working group "Science and Technology for Peace and Security (PEASEC) led by Prof. Christian Reuter, CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt, were able to place five papers on Human and Computer 2018. Prof. Reuter is also the main organizer of the one day workshop "Human-machine interaction in safety critical systems", which takes place within the framework of Human and Computer 2018.
With more than 700 participants in recent years, the Human and Computer is one of the largest HCI conferences in Europe. Every year, the conference attracts participants from science and industry. The program also consists of the scientific track "Mensch-Computer-Interaction" (MCI) and the Practitioner Track "Usability Professionals" (UP).The papers accepted by the PEASEC working group are:
Dynamics of Discourse in Social Media: A Case Study
Authors: Thea Riebe, Katja Pätsch, Marc-André Kaufhold, Christian Reuter
SocialML: EUD in Machine Learning for analyzing social media
Authors: Simon Scholl, Christian Reuter, Thomas Ludwig, Marc-André Kaufhold
Interaction design of a risk assessment concept for KMU
Authors: Marc-André Kaufhold, Christian Reuter, Tobias Ermert
Designing a BCM dashboard for small and medium businesses
Authors: Marc-André Kaufhold, Christian Reuter, Thea Riebe, Elmar von Radziewski
Resilient digitization of the critical infrastructure Agriculture - mobile, decentralized, fail-safe
Authors: Christian Reuter, Wolfgang Schneider, Daniel Eberz, Markus Bayer, Daniel Hartung, Cemal Kaygusuz
At the center of the workshop "Human Machine Interaction in Safety Critical Systems" are insights into human-computer interaction in safety-critical fields of application. Since MCI is increasingly taking place in such fields as disaster management, transport, production or medicine, many scientific fields, including computer science, are increasingly in demand. The challenge is to discuss and adapt existing approaches and methods and to develop innovative solutions.
The authors of the introduction of the workshop volume for the 5th workshop Man-Machine-Interaction in Safety-Critical Systems are beside Christian Reuter: Tilo Mentler, Simon Nestler, Michael Herczeg, Stefan Geisler, Thomas Ludwig, Volkmar Pipek, Jens Pottebaum.
Human and Computer 2018 will take place from September 2 to 5, 2018 in Dresden.
