CRISP-Researcher represents TU-Darmstadt at BMBF-sponsored Medical-Informatics Project

CRISP-Member CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt is involved in the HiGHmed-Consortium as an academic project partner. The project is supported by a total of 30 million Euro within the context of the Medical-Informatics-Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The new funding concept is to strengthen medical research and to improve patient care.

"Luncheon" on the topic of Cybersecurity with the US Consul General in Frankfurt

Yesterday the US Consul General in Frankfurt, James W. Hermann, hosted a "Luncheon" on Cybersecurity. Approximatly 15 representatives from industry and authorities of the greater Frankurt-Rhein-Main area were invited, among them Dr. Haya Schulman and Prof. Michael Waidner of CRISP/Fraunhofer SIT as the only representatives from science.

CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt opens new showroom

The new showroom in Morenwegstraße, Darmstadt was inaugurated with an opening ceremony. Prof. Peter Buxmann held a short welcoming speech and thereby emphasizing the postitve effect of the showroom on transfer culture.

International Exchange

A Taiwanese Delegation headed by Prof. Der-Tsai Lee visited CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt. General Manager Dr. Karin-Irene Eiermann and spokesperson Prof. Johannes Buchmann presented research work  from the cybersecurity research at TU Darmstadt. The delegation also visited the construction site of the new CYSEC building at the main campus in the city center of Darmstadt, and had a lab tour at the Department of Computer Science.

Update of the Privacy Friendly Sudoku App

The Android application and privacy friendly Sudoku has been improved by the  SECUSO research team, CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt, additional Levels of difficulty have been added  an improved configuration Options have been realized. Hereby the  privacy friendly Sudoku offers full functionality without authorizations and without the constant fade-in of advertizement, which may shorten the battery life and use up the data volume.

Award for Prof. Reiner Anderl

On June, 30,2017,Prof. Dr. Reiner Anderl, CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt,was elected President from members of the academy for sciences and literature in Mainz. He hereby succeeds Prof. Dr. Gernot Wilhelm an July the first, who headed the academy for four years. Prof. Dr. Burkhard Hillebrands, Universität Kaiserslautern was elected Vice President and chairman of the mathematical- naturalscience class.

FRM-Delegation Recruits for the Business Location Frankfurt Rhein Main in the USA

Dr. Michael Kreutzer, Fraunhofer SIT, is a member of a delegation of representatives of business, politics and science who travels in the USA to promote the business location FrankfurtRheinMain from 21 to 29 June. Stations include San Francisco, Silicon Valley, New York and Philadelphia. A visit to the renowned University of California, Berkeley, a partner university of the Technische Universität Darmstadt, is also on the agenda. The organizer of the trip is Frankfurt Rhein Main GmbH International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH).
